Doing cartwheels!

As most of you know we like to enter the weekly competition over at I heart faces. The winners were revealed today and we were picked in the top 10! There were almost 900 entries, as you can guess we are doing cartwheels! (well, just Danielle-Anne is pregnant and it just wouldn't be a good idea...)

D.R.E.A.M.

What could possibly be better than taking pictures of a newborn? Twins! Today we went and took photos of Paxton and Finley (aren't the names fabulous?) They were born early, but didn't have to spend too much time in the hospital. They were still itty bitty when we got our hands on them. They were a complete dream. Two sweet babies who were very cooperative. Thanks Amber for a fabulous afternoon capturing your adorable twins!

I love this photo, she's giving us the I love you sign!

I ♥ Faces- Hands on Fun!

My daughter is determined, independent, selfless and dedicated. She is five. The local rotary club has started collecting soda can tabs for a cancer patient. They told us that every milk jug you fill up goes toward one chemo treatment. There is a club here called Teens against brain cancer, the president has an aunt suffering from cancer. My daughter saw a half filled milk jug at my husband's work and decided she better start a collection of her own. Every time we are out and she sees a stranger drinking from a soda can she walks right up to them and asks for their tab. She will pull cans from the trash and tell anyone she sees about what she is doing. In the past month I have enjoyed watching her, she is so into collecting these tabs. It has only been a month and she has collected almost 10,000 tabs, she amazes me. People have been telling their friends and we are being flooded with soda can tabs from people. Last week the rotary club invited her to breakfast and presented her with a signed picture frame for her selfless service to others, she couldn't stop talking about the danish she ate. I am certainly a proud Mom. So, if you see Kali coming...get ready to fork over your tab! Check out other hands on photos over at I heart faces!

I ♥ Faces- I wanna dance!

It's dancing week over I heart faces and I knew immediately which photo I would choose. One of the girls in the youth group I taught was about to preform with her ballet company in the Nutcracker. Her mother approached me asking if I could help her out with some photos for the program. She wanted something special for her Kelsey and I jumped at the chance. Kelsey is one of those shy and quiet types in daily life but when she put on her toe shoes and tutu her confidence exploded. Her lines were amazing and she was up for anything. Here's my favorite shot of the day! To see some more dancing photos head over to I heart faces!

Welcome McKinley!

One of my very dear friends had baby McKinley on Thursday. She came home Saturday morning and I was over there Saturday afternoon to capture her sweet baby girl. Once she got used to the idea of her very own photo shoot she was nothing but cooperative! We were even able to capture some of those rare gassy smiles! These are some of my favorite newborn shots! Thanks Cherise and welcome sweet McKinley! (isn't that just a fabulous name?)

Batter up!

One of my dear and fabulous friends just had a beautiful baby boy. After an extra few days stay at the hospital Cal finally made his way home. His Daddy is ALL about baseball so it was only natural we work baseballs into the photo shoot. Little Cal seemed to be more of a soccer player with all of the kicking he was doing with his legs...I had a great time with baby Cal, hopefully he won't run off every time he sees me coming with my camera!
